Ravi’s Charity Football Match

On June 11th, Worthing FC hosted a day of football at their 3000-capacity ground in support of Ravi’s Dream. There was an brilliant Under 8’s girls and boys tournaments, followed by a mixed-gender adult match.

Ravi’s ‘Dream Team’ featured amongst others: Romy Madley Croft (The xx), Jimi Famurewa (Masterchef judge), Joseph Mount (Metronomy), Seye Adelekan (Gorillaz), Michael Odewale (Comedian), Denai Moore (Musician/Author), Ola Labib (comedian), Jack Hesketh (actor), Plastician (musician/DJ)and Ceylon Andi Hickman (Dulwich Hamlet FC Women),Lis Savage from Pitch Time and Ravi’s favourite teacher Dan. Ravi suited up and managed the team with his Sunday League coach Toby Gosling as his #2.

They lined up against community team Preston Park Panthers for a very entertain match in the sunshine which ended with Ravi being subbed on to score the winning penalty!
